A boat reported at the Mussel Farm with a battery problem and requested assistance. Whakatane Rescue II was tasked and towed the vessel back to Whakatane.

A boat reported off Ohope Beach with a flat battery and requested a jump start. An All Stations call resulted in a vessel responding. A successful jump start was achieved and both boats returned safely back to Whakatane. A big thank you to the good samaritan.

A boat reported off Coastlands with an engine problem and requested assistance. Whakatane Rescue II was launched and towed the vessel safely back across the Whakatane Bar.

A 9.6m yacht reported outside the Ohiwa Bar with an engine problem and requested assistance to cross the bar. Whakatane Rescue II was tasked and towed the vessel safely into Ohiwa Harbour

A member of the public reported sighting 5 orange flares off Matata. Whakatane Rescue II was tasked by the police to launch and investigate. The position of the flares was near the Raurimus. After a thorough search with no result, Whakatane Rescue II was stood down and returned to base.
