A boat with 1 POB reported off Coastlands with an overheating engine. and requested assistance Another vessel heard the call and offered to help. Conditions were good with a Southerly wind of 10kts and an outgoing tide. The stricken vessel was towed back across the bar. A big thank you to the good samaritan.

A bout with 2 POB reported out of fuel in the Whakatane River.and requested assistance. Whakatane Rescue II was launched and towed the boat to the ramp.
