A boat reported off the Whakatane Bar with an engine problem and requested assistance.  Whakatane Rescue II was launched and towed the vessel back across the bar.

A yacht was reported aground to the west of the Whakatane Bar. Whakatane Rescue II was tasked, pulled the yacht clear and towed it safely back into the Whakatane Harbour.

A boat reported West of the Raurimus with an engine problem and requested assistance. Whakatane Rescue II was tasked, located the vessel and towed it safely back to Whakatane.

A boat reported off the Whakatane Bar with an engine problem and requested assistance. The call was heard by another vessel who offered to help. The stricken vessel was located and towed back safely across the Whakatane Bar. A big thank you to the good samaritan.
