A boat at the Radio Masts reported a flat battery. Whakatane Rescue II located the vessel , provided a jump start and followed the vessel back safely across the Whakatane Bar.

A boat reported East of Whale Is with a fuel problem and requested assistance. Whakatane Rescue II was launched, located the vessel and towed it safely back to Whakatane.

A boat reported off Whale Is with a flat battery. Whakatane Rescue II was launched and provided a jump start.

A boat reported off the Thornton Motor Camp with an engine problem and requested assistance. Whakatane Rescue II was launched, located the vessel and towed it safely back to Whakatane.

A boat off Kohi Pt with 5 POB reported an engine problem and requested a tow back to Whakatane. 4 minutes later, the skipper advised the boat was drifting towards the rocks. Whakatane Rescue II was launched and located the vessel. By this time the 5 POB had abandoned the vessel and were sitting safely on the rocks. A surf life saving IRB was requested to assist. The IRB arrived on scene and transferred the people onto Whakatane Rescue II. Whakatane Rescue II returned back to Whakatane.All POB  were safe and well. A big thank you to the surf life saving club.
