Flat battery – 06/10/2017 – 12:03 to 12:54

At 1203hrs a boat reported East of Whale Is at the 35m mark with a flat battery requesting a jump start: 2POB.  An “All Stations” call resulted in a vessel responding.  Sea conditions were good with a low swell and a SW wind of 10kts.   A successful jump start was made and the affected boat arrived back in the Whakatane River at 1254hrs.  A big thank you to the Good Samaritan.
