Engine problem – 14/02/2025 1732 to 1900 (10)

A boat off Coastlands reported water in the fuel and was unable to start engine number 2 and requested a tow back to Whakatane.  Another vessel was going to tow the stricken vessel and Whakatane Rescue II was tasked to assist. On discussion with the skipper of the CRV, Whakatane Rescue II would act as a drogue at the real of the tow to assist the vessel that was doing the tow. All 3 boats arrived safely back in Whakatane.
