Engine problem – 12/25/2017 – 16:50 to 18:10

At 1650hrs a boat reported 2nm off the Thornton Bar with an engine problem and requested assistance. 2 POB.  An unsuccessful All Stations call was made so Whakatane Rescue was tasked to assist.  Sea conditions were good with a 10kts wind from the north.  The boat was located and towed back into the harbour at 1810hrs.
