Engine problem – 12/16/2017 – 11:00 to 14:00

At 1100hrs a boat reported 1500m off Walkers Beach with an engine problem and requested assistance.  2 POB.  An unsuccessful All Stations call was made so Whakatane Rescue was tasked to assist.  Sea conditions were good with a low swell and a 10kt wind from the NE.  The boat was located and towed back to Whakatane.  Both boats arrived in the harbour at 1400hrs.
