Engine problem – 03/02/2018 – 10:20 to 4/03/2018

A vessel at White Is reported a gear box problem and requested a tow back to Whakatane.  4 POB.    Whakatane Rescue was launched and proceeded to the scene.Due to the bar conditions the vessel was towed to Whale Is and anchored. With no improvement on the bar, the boat was not towed back into the harbour until 2 days later.
