Battery – 02/19/2015 – 11:22 to

A 6m aluminuim fishing boat with three people on board reported a flat battery and lack of fuel off Otarawairere.  Weather conditions were good with 5kt wind from the south and little swell.  Whakatane Rescue with a crew of three was tasked with assisting and took a battery power pack and fuel.  The motor was started without difficulty and Whakatane Rescue followed it back to port.
