Engine problem – 12/02/2017 – 11:06 to 12:55

At 1106 hrs a boat reported half way between Kohi Pt and Whale Is with an engine problem and requested a tow back to Whakatane.  3 POB.  Sea conditions were good with a calm sea.  An unsuccessful All Stations call resulted in Whakatane Rescue being tasked to assist.  The vessel was located and taken under tow.   Both boats were safely back in the Whakatane Harbour at 1255 hrs.
