Steering problem – 01/01/2018 – 8:00 to 9:14

A boat reported at the Mussel Farm with a steering problem and requested a tow back across the bar at  Whakatane.  Another boat was in the vicinity and offered to assist.  Both boats slowly made their way back to outside the bar where Whakatane Rescue took the vessel under tow.  Both boats arrived safely back in the harbour.  A big thank you to the Good Samaritan.
